Equine semen extender for safe sperm transport
Botusemen is an extender developed after years of research. Its current formulation enables the safe transport of spermatozoa until insemination or during the centrifugation process for freezing protocols. It is suitable for most stallions.
Pack of 10 diluent bottles containing 100 mL of sterile water and 10 sachets with 8.5g each.
How to prepare
Add the sachet’s content to the sterile water and shake well.
How to use
For cooled transport, semen should be refrigerated at 5 °C (41 °F).
The minimum dilution rate for preserving sperm motility during storage is 2 parts extender to 1 part semen, aiming for a final sperm concentration of 30 to 50 million total sperm per mL, as shown in the table below:

For artificial insemination with fresh semen or centrifugation for freezing protocols, dilute 1 part extender to 1 part semen (1:1; V:V). After semen dilution, wait 15 minutes to proceed with artificial insemination.

UHT sterilized skim milk powder, sugars, amino acids, antioxidants, and excipients.
Storage and stability
After mixing the contents of the sachet with sterile water, store it at 2 to 8°C (35.6 to 46.4°F) for up to 3 days.
